What lesson options do you offer? We offer several lesson options to fit your needs:
Individual Lessons: These lessons are tailored to the individual swimmer and are available in 30-minute or 1-hour sessions. One-hour lessons are generally recommended for adults, older swimmers, and those focused on stroke development.
Family Learn to Swim: This program is designed for parents and their children (ages 3+) who want to learn to swim together. These are one-hour sessions accommodating up to three participants.
How much do your lessons cost?
We offer lesson packages in 6-week and 12-week options. Pricing details, including the one-time travel fee for at-home lessons in Broward County, can be found here.
What is the Family Learn to Swim Package?
The Family Learn to Swim package is a great way for families to bond and create lasting memories while learning an essential life skill. These one-hour sessions are designed for up to three participants (parents and children ages 3+).
What is included in the price of the lesson packages?
The price of the lesson packages includes the cost of instruction for all lessons within the package. For lessons at private residences within Broward County, a one-time $40 travel fee is also included per package. This fee does not apply to lessons at designated community or public pool locations.
How do I pay for lessons?
Payment for lesson packages is due upfront at the time of registration through the Square app. Submitting payment acts as your agreement to the terms of the contract.
How do I schedule my lessons?
New Clients: New clients should first submit a consultation request through the form available on our [Home Page](link to your home page) or [About Page](Link to your About page). Coach Q will then assist with the initial booking process.
Existing Clients: Existing clients can manage their schedules directly through the Square app or request scheduling changes by contacting Coach Q through the app. All scheduling changes are subject to Coach Q's approval.
Can I renew my lessons? Yes! To ensure uninterrupted lessons, renewing clients will receive a recurring invoice through the Square app one week prior to the start of their next 6-week session, unless they advise otherwise. Completing payment of this invoice ensures your continued spot and signifies your agreement to the contract terms.
What if I want to sign up in the middle of a session?
We offer two options for mid-session sign-ups:
Option 1: Secure Your Spot for the Next Session: You can register and pay your deposit to secure your spot in the next 6-week session. This guarantees your place and allows you to plan ahead.
Option 2: Prorated Package (If Available): If there is availability, you may be able to start lessons right away with a prorated lesson package. The price of the package will be adjusted based on the number of remaining lessons in the current session. All other terms and conditions apply. Please contact us to check availability for prorated packages.
Where can I learn more about instructor availability?
Our current weekly availability is as follows:
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Wednesdays: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Saturdays & Sundays: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Mondays: Closed

What is your cancellation/make-up lesson policy?
We understand that things come up. Make-up lessons are offered if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance or if Swimming with Coach Q LLC must cancel a lesson. Make-up lessons are generally required to be used within the current 6-week session. However, under certain extenuating circumstances, a 2-week grace period into the following session may be granted at the Instructor's sole discretion.
What happens if there's bad weather?
Light to mild rain will generally not cause lesson cancellations. However, lessons will be canceled due to lightning or thunder, and you will be notified within 30 minutes of the scheduled lesson time. If your pool is unheated and the outside temperature is below 70°F, we recommend rescheduling. Wetsuits are advised when the pool is between 90-94°F. Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled at no additional charge. If a lesson is interrupted by weather, the remaining lesson time will be added to a future lesson.
Is there a liability waiver?
Yes, participation in swimming lessons involves inherent risks. Our full contract, which includes the Liability Waiver, outlines these risks and details the terms of participation. You can find a link to the full contract in the footer of each page or by contacting us directly.
What about pets at private residences?
At private residences where lessons are conducted, please ensure all pets are kept under control during lesson times. Failure to do so may result in termination of lessons.
What is the Loyalty Program?
Our Loyalty Program rewards clients who register for two or more 6-week sessions at the same time with a savings of $5 per lesson. This discount applies to all lessons within the registered sessions.
Do you travel outside of Broward County?
Yes, Swimming with Coach Q LLC is available to travel outside of Broward County for an additional travel fee. This fee is $20 per trip. Please contact us to discuss scheduling and pricing for out-of-county lessons.
