About Coach Q

Drowning prevention and accessible swim instruction are at the heart of Swimming with Coach Q LLC. Coach Q's journey began with a passion for water safety, sparked by the high drowning rates in Florida and the observed lack of representation from the Black community in swimming. This experience ignited a mission to provide effective and inclusive swim lessons for everyone.

Since 2019, Coach Q has been dedicated to providing personalized swim instruction in Broward County, FL, creating a fun, supportive, and empowering environment. Specializing in adaptive aquatics, we tailor our lessons to meet the unique needs of each individual, including children on the autism spectrum. We believe in building confidence in the water and fostering a lifelong love of swimming.

Coach Q's certifications include:

• Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI)

• Red Cross Lifeguard

• Certified in Adaptive Aquatics through St. Nicklaus’s Children’s Hospital

• US Certified Swim Coach

Our teaching philosophy focuses on making swimming fun and connecting with the water in an enjoyable way while prioritizing safety. We are committed to providing high-quality instruction that empowers individuals of all abilities to achieve their swimming goals.
